How HostDecider works

How we research

HostDecider separates desk research from product testing. Every published entry states which method was used, when it was checked, and where its claims came from.

Research modes

• Desk research: vendor documentation, pricing pages, status pages, and independent sources are compared.
• Hands-on use: only used when an account, test period, and environment are documented.
• Instrumented test: measurements include a repeatable procedure and enough raw context to interpret them.

Verdicts

Verdicts are directional, not scores. +++ means recommended, +/- means conditional, and -- means not recommended for the stated use case. Confidence reflects the quality and recency of the evidence.

What we do not claim

We do not present search snippets as facts, invent keyword volumes, describe desk research as personal testing, or treat affiliate status as a ranking factor. Prices and features can change, so each entry includes a research date and limitations.
